Hello everyone, i have been spending a lot of time getting my new computer ready for streams and i am constantly hitting new issues with settings.
Make sure DS4Windows is up to date.
Now the program that i ended up using is DS4Windows, i wasn't using this one on my old rig with windows 10. I was using ScpServer which also failed to work at first. With this fix i am sure both would work since the issue is not with the programs or the hardware but with the game itself from what i have read.
This will only work after you have installed all the right drivers for your controller. You Will have to play with your controller plugged in, unless i look further into it, i will update if i find a way to make it work.
So after you have your controller installed and ready to go, try to boot up Dark Souls 2, if you get the same issue i show in the video then unplug the controller and re-plug it in. That should fix it, now you will need to do this every time but it beats changing setting via windows which disabling DHCP does work but with my ISP i can't conect to the internet without it. Or buying an Xbox controller.

Xbox One Controller Dark Souls
DualShock 4 doesn't work in Dark Souls
SOLVED
Everything is connected. Touchpad works perfectly, nothing else works. I've tried SCP, DS4tools/windows, and x360ce.
NOTHING works, and I've been working on this for about 5 hours.
PLEASE give me useful advice.
Edit1: I only have a Playstation 4 controller and I'm running Windows 7. When I start Dark Souls, only my touchpad works and I guess the ps button if I want to see the xbox indicator.
I've tried 'hide ds4 controller', nothing. I've tried InputMapper, nothing. I've updated all my drivers, nothing.

Edit 2: So I solved the issue with the ps4 driver. I used to use a remote app from my phone to use on my pc. Well, atfer i removed the app and uninstalled the program, the shitty program wanted to leave it's shitty 'controller' driver on which masked over/conflicted with my ps4 driver.
TLDR: Fuck JumiController
